Handcrafted by artist Anita Cazares Seymour [Stz'uminus First Nation], this red dress beaded pin is a stunning blend of artistry and cultural significance. Featuring a red dress with black trim, wearing this pin shows support and raises awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S).

Originating from Metis artist Jaime Black’s REDress Project, the red dress campaign uses empty red dresses as a visual representation of the absence left by those who have been taken or lost to violence. The color red holds deep significance in many Indigenous cultures. It is considered a sacred color that represents life, love, and power. Red is also believed to be the only color visible to spirits, symbolizing a call to the spirits of the missing and murdered to be seen and remembered.

$10 from each item sold will go to the Tsow-Tun Le Lum. The remainder will go towards paying Anita, and to compensate for time spent packaging, packaging costs, and to cover shipping costs.

This product is made especially for you as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it to you. Making products on demand instead of in bulk helps reduce overproduction, so thank you for making thoughtful purchasing decisions!
